Spectrum Super Star January 2016
CONGRATS to this month's Spectrum Super Star!
We are happy to recognize Chris as our January 2016 Spectrum Super Star of the month!
I really didn’t know about Spectrum (or Autism for that matter) until my neighbor Judy Agnew, one of Spectrum’s Board members, asked if I would mind taking pictures for the Georgia Race For Autism. I told her I would be happy to do so and help out however I could. That was 3 years ago (2013 race) and I have had the honor of helping out since.
I have always enjoyed photography and I know one of my God given gifts is the heart of serving. I pray that the pictures I take of the families bring a smile to their face and brings back wonderful memories when they are viewed in the future. I feel we are all called to help those in need and I am so very thankful Judy asked me to use one of my talents to help those in Spectrum.
Even though I have only helped the past couple years, one of the things I am really enjoying is seeing familiar faces and getting to know some of the children and their parents. While I may not be able to have prolonged conversations with everyone (I am usually busy running around taking pictures) I am able to have quick chats and get to know a few things about them – this has been a true blessing and brings a big smile to my face every time.
I would like to thank Spectrum for allowing me to help out and help those in their organization. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving over the past few years and look forward to many more years in the future.
Spectrum says, “Thank you Chris for making our kids feel comfortable and helping them enjoy their experience with Santa during the Spectrum holiday party! We appreciate you very much!”
Thank you Chris for your support of Spectrum!
