Spectrum Super Stars March 2024
Congratulations to our March stars of the month, Anthony Nguyen and Anna Ale!
Senior Interns from GSMST, Anthony Nguyen and Anna Ale have chosen to do their Senior Capstone Experience interning with Spectrum this year and have been such assets for us and made a difference for individuals with autism and their families.
Anthony says: "Volunteering at Spectrum has been a wonderful experience and has given me great insight into the kind of work and hosting environment I aspire to have in the future. I’ve gotten to meet friendly staff members and interact with many individuals on the Spectrum who each possess their own unique personality at some of the many engaging events that Spectrum hosts. It’s a great opportunity to connect with the local community of downtown Duluth."
Anna says: "Volunteering with Spectrum Autism Support Group has become a wonderful part of my life for numerous reasons. Firstly, the opportunity to assist in a cause that aligns with my values and interests has been a great experience. Working alongside individuals with autism and their families allows me to witness the joy and love within this community, fostering empathy and understanding. Moreover, the supportive environment provided by Spectrum enables me to forge meaningful connections, enriching both my personal and professional growth. Through volunteering, I not only lend a helping hand but also learn how to interact with various people at Spectrum’s events."
We wish them the best in their next endeavors in life and hope their experience with us will make a difference in their future careers.
