Spectrum Super Star November 2025
Congratulations to our November star of the month, Patsy Cook!
Patsy Cook, Spectrum Autism Support Group Advisory Committee member, showed her commitment and support to Spectrum Autism Support Group and the individuals & families autism impacts by hosting a golf tournament, raising $5500 for Spectrum. We are very pleased to recognize her as our star of the month!
Here is what Patsy said about the experience:
“I chose to host the charity golf tournament because autism holds a special place in my heart. For years, I worked as a special education paraprofessional, supporting individuals on many different levels of the spectrum. I’ve seen the daily challenges they face and the pain in their families’ eyes as they said, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ Spectrum meets families right where they are. Whether an individual is nonverbal or high functioning, they provide programs and resources that truly make a difference—not just for individuals with autism but also for their families and caregivers. Even if you don’t have someone with autism in your immediate family, chances are you know someone who does. More people need to understand how to approach and communicate with individuals on the spectrum. These programs can be costly, but the impact is priceless. My hope was to raise funds so Spectrum can keep offering life-changing services. Every person with autism—and their caregivers—deserves love, encouragement, inclusion, and support.”
We are so grateful for Patsy's support. She is making a difference! Contact Claire Dees at claire@Spectrumautism.org if you are interested in hosting a charity give back event.
