Spectrum Super Stars April 2020

Congratulations to our April Stars of the Month, Olivia Volmar and Nagasudhan Ayyachamy, our senior interns from GSMST (Gwinnett School for Math, Science and Technology)

Olivia says...

I first encountered Spectrum volunteering at the 2019 Easter Egg Hunt, and I was introduced by one of your former interns, Hannah. At the event, I got a little feeling of what Spectrum is all about! I had so much fun interacting with everyone that I decided to join Spectrum’s team for my senior internship! I knew that I had a soft spot for kids, but interning with Spectrum really solidified my love for children. From summer camp to labor day weekend camp to respite weekends to drama club, I have had a wholesome experience interning with Spectrum and learning more about the awesome community and family network!

Naga says...

I am Nagasudhan Ayyachamy. I am a senior at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. At the beginning of the school year, I decided to intern at SPECTRUM Autism Support Group. I am very interested in studying and practicing health care law and thought about the best places to intern to gain the knowledge needed to succeed in this field. I was introduced to SPECTRUM by my academic counselor. I am glad I was accepted to intern here because I have grown very fond of the people I currently work with. The best part about interning here is seeing the people I work with create new friendships and relationships with people that they were hesitant to talk to at first. I hope to continue to work with these people and help more people once I go to college.

Spectrum has enjoyed a wonderful partnership with GSMST and having fabulous interns like Naga and Olivia on our team, making a difference for individuals and families impacted by autism in our community. We welcome both high school and college interns. Contact claire@atl-spectrum.com if you would be interested in an internship opportunity.
