Schedule: Fridays, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation: $30/hour

Position Overview:
The Spectrum Homeschool Social Club seeks a dedicated and compassionate Neurodiverse Learning & Enrichment Program Supervisor to lead our Friday enrichment program. This individual will play a vital role in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for neurodiverse homeschoolers aged 5-18 who are independent. The supervisor will collaborate closely with Parent Support Volunteers to ensure activities meet the needs of all participants while fostering inclusion and social development. Background check required.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the Friday enrichment program, ensuring all activities run smoothly and align with program goals.
  • Collaborate with Parent Support Volunteers to facilitate structured activities, maintain a safe environment, and support individual student needs.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to children with diverse learning needs, promoting positive social interactions and participation.
  • Adapt and modify activities to accommodate a variety of learning styles, sensory needs, and developmental levels.
  • Address behavioral challenges using positive intervention strategies and maintain an inclusive, respectful atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and volunteers to share updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.
  • Assist with setup and cleanup of program materials and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children ages 5-18.
  • Experience in homeschooling, behavior intervention, or special education is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with children, parents, and volunteers.
  • Ability to remain patient, flexible, and resourceful in a dynamic environment.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Schedule:
This position requires availability on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Compensation:
$30/hour

Camp Summer Staff Wanted

What We Need?

We are in need of highly motivated and excited staff to work our summer camp
programs in gwinnett (6 weeks). A variety of positions are available including
Jr. Counselors (highschool students), Parapros, and Group Leads.

What Is Social Skills Today?

Social Skills Today provides social skills programs for youth and adults with communication, sensory integration, social interaction, and behavioral needs in Gwinnett county. Our purpose is to provide respite opportunities for families of individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders and other social, communication, sensory, and behavioral needs through the avenues of summer camp programs, school year mini school break camps and social skills groups, and overnight camps. It is our goal to provide social skills training, behavioral accommodations, and language-building activities in a safe and enriching environment for individuals functioning at all developmental levels ages four and above.

Hours, Pay, And Other Important Information:

-Camp hours are 9:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
-Full summer and partial summer opportunities available.
-Staffers are independent contractors with pay ranging from $350 - $600 per week.
-Groups are based on ability and age with 8-10 campers / 2-3 staffers.
