A Place to Belong: Spectrum’s Story Featured On World Peace Revival

We’re honored to have Spectrum Autism Support Group’s story featured by World Peace Revival in the article, “A Place to Belong: Spectrum’s Story.” The feature shares how Spectrum began in 1998 when Executive Director and co-founder Claire Dees and another local mom recognized the need for connection and support for families impacted by autism—and how that first support group meeting grew into the organization Spectrum is today.

The article also shares Claire’s personal journey and the legacy of her son, Blake, while highlighting Spectrum’s continued commitment to creating a place where children, teens, adults, and families can find support, acceptance, connection, and a true sense of belonging. From social clubs and Table Talk to the sensory-friendly playground and partnerships throughout the community, Spectrum continues working to ensure individuals with autism have opportunities to connect, grow, and feel included.

We’re grateful to World Peace Revival for sharing Spectrum’s story and helping shine a light on the importance of building communities where everyone belongs.
