Spectrum Super Star August 2024
Congratulations to our August star of the month!
Krish Saxena is a rising senior at Collins Hill High School and is passionate about technology and its ability to make a difference. He came to Spectrum this summer as a volunteer, helping the organization with its technology needs. Here is what he had to say about his experience. "I was thrilled to offer my services to Spectrum because they offer vital resources and support that empower autistic individuals to lead more independent and enriched lives. Volunteering with their technology needs allows me to contribute to this meaningful cause, bringing me a profound sense of fulfillment and purpose as my service makes a difference in the community. “
Krish also has an organization called TechNeedy, that supports local nonprofits with free technological assistance and we highly recommend him. Some of the areas he can assist organizations with include:
- Laptop/computer/tablet/printer issues
- Hardware problems
- Software installations and upgrades
- Networking
- A/V Equipment (TVs, projectors, speakers)
- Teach and help with robotics
- Children who need any technology help (popular social media applications, etc.)
We thank Krish for making a difference and being such a great inspiration to others.
Spectrum welcomes student volunteers who want to add to their résumé and/or earn service hours for classes. Contact Claire Dees at claire@Spectrumautism.org if you are interested in volunteering.
