Spectrum Super Star April 2017
CONGRATS to this month's Spectrum Super Star!
We are happy to recognize The City of Norcross as our April 2017 Spectrum Super Stars of the month!
The City of Norcross prides itself on being ‘a place to imagine’ for all of its citizens and neighbors, which is why the city partners with Spectrum Autism Group for its annual Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt. The city is dedicated to being an inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to enjoy all that Norcross has to offer. The partnership with Spectrum is just one example of the many ways the city supports and reaches out to various groups in the community. In its second year, the Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt has proven to be a successful event because of partnerships with organizations such as Spectrum. This special event, hosted by the city, is designed for children with special needs in an environment that is safe and inclusive. It includes considerations such as beeping eggs, scooping nets, a sign language professional, a service support dog and a tent with beanbags for sensory-sensitive children—along with lots of smiles and encouragement from community members and local officials. For more information on the City of Norcross’ egg-stra special Easter Egg Hunt, and to RSVP, please visit www.aplacetoimagine.com.
Spectrum is so appreciative that the City of Norcross is embracing the special needs community and providing these wonderful events for our families! In connection with the Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt on April 15th, Spectrum is hosting a picnic for participating families. For planning purposes, please register for the picnic at www.atl-spectrum.com.
Thank you City of Norcross for your support of Spectrum and the special needs community!
