After School Enrichment Program

Join Spectrum's After-School Enrichment Program for school-age individuals with Autism (Ages 5–22). A fun, supportive, and inclusive after-school enrichment program designed to help individuals with autism build confidence, friendships, communication, creativity, and life skills through engaging activities with autism-trained support staff.

Activities may include social skills, arts & crafts, STEM, music & movement, recreation, sensory-friendly experiences, and life skills training in a safe and encouraging environment.

Spectrum's After-School Enrichment Program is offered Monday through Friday during the 2026–2027 Gwinnett County School Year. Our program provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where students can build social skills, participate in recreational activities, develop life skills, and connect with peers.

Program Schedule & Tuition

Elementary School: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM - $800 per month
Middle School: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM - $400 per month
High School: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM - $800 per month

Program Information

  • Staff-to-participant ratio of approximately 1:3–4.
  • Registration is for the entire school year.
  • A 30-day written notice is required for cancellation.
  • Transportation is not provided. Families may contact their local school to determine if transportation is available to the Spectrum Autism Center for students within the school's transportation guidelines.
  • A phone interview may be conducted to confirm registration.

Registration & Payment

An $800 deposit is required to secure an Elementary or High School placement. $400 for Middle School. This deposit will be applied to your first month's tuition.

Families approved for Family Support Services may use their funding for this program. The first month's tuition is paid by the family, after which Spectrum will submit invoices on the family's behalf for eligible Family Support Services.

ASEP Extended Enrichment Days

Spectrum's ASEP Extended Enrichment Days provide a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment for school-age individuals with Autism (Ages 5–22) on designated days when Gwinnett County Public Schools are closed. Designed to provide consistency, structure, and meaningful engagement beyond the regular school day, this program offers families a trusted option for enrichment and support during school breaks, holidays, teacher workdays, and other scheduled school closure dates.

Participants enjoy a variety of engaging activities led by autism-trained support staff, including social skills development, arts & crafts, STEM activities, music & movement, recreation, sensory-friendly experiences, and life skills instruction in a safe and encouraging setting. Activities are designed to promote confidence, independence, friendships, communication, creativity, and personal growth while providing a positive and enjoyable experience.

Extended Enrichment Days are offered from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on select school closure dates in accordance with the 2026–2027 Gwinnett County Public Schools calendar. Opportunities may include teacher workdays, student holidays, fall break, winter break, spring break, and other designated school closure dates. Individual sessions will be available throughout the school year based on the Gwinnett County Public Schools calendar.

Participants must be approved through Spectrum's enrollment process and be enrolled in Spectrum's After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP) to participate. Registration and payment are required in advance for each session. Transportation, meals, and snacks are not provided. Family Support funding may be used for this program, where applicable.

ASEP Extended Enrichment Days provide families with peace of mind while offering participants a structured, engaging, and supportive environment where they can build friendships, develop new skills, explore new interests, and thrive.
